Fitting details
Ensure that all flakey paint and rough
edges are removed, usually with a medium or fins sandpaper, ensure that grease, dust and
grime are also removed. This may be achieved by using a paper towel and methylated spirits
(non-industrial). Paper towels are more efficient than cloths as dirt may be transferred
from one part of the window to another using a cloth. To further enhance adhesion and
fixing it is recommended to use an adhesive primer, Scotch Primer 83, or similar are
suitable available from 3M stockist Finally staple or pin the seal to the rebate.
